Villa Tartagli Bassi
The villa is a spacious, comfortable stone farmhouse, converted and enlarged from the original 18th century structure, with stunning views over the valley towards Lake Trasimeno and beyond.
The house is on two self-contained floors. An external staircase allows the access to the upper floor.
Villa Tartagli Bassi can accommodate up to ten people, having five bedrooms, four bathrooms, two kitchens, and two sitting rooms. The garden and swimming pool are completely private, and there are numerous spots in the grounds from which to enjoy sun or shade throughout the day. Free WiFi is available throughout the house. Bed linen and towels are provided and each bedroom and other main rooms are fitted with ceiling fans and fly-screens, with additional air conditioning units in the three upstairs bedrooms.
Downstairs has a large, fully-equipped family kitchen that leads directly to an outdoor eating area with a barbecue. The large wooden table partially shaded by a mulberry tree comfortably seats ten, as does the big table in the kitchen. In addition, there is a sitting room on two levels where you’ll find a DVD/VHS player, books, tourist information, an assortment of videos, DVDs and games.
There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground floor.
The master bedroom contains a double bed, walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom with a shower. The other bedroom, down a couple of steps from the lower part of the sitting room, contains two single beds that can also be joined to make a double, and the bathroom is just two steps away, with a full-size bathtub/shower.

Also on the ground floor is a separate laundry room with a washing machine. Laundry dries very quickly outdoors in the summer and you have your choice of clotheslines and drying racks near the house.
Like many of the old farmhouses in the area, Villa Tartagli Bassi has a brick-domed pizza oven built into the wall at the back of the house, and there are plenty of logs so that you can make your own wood-fired pizza. Basil and other fresh herbs are grown in pots near the house for your use, and there’s a keg of our very own extra virgin olive oil at your disposition in the kitchen.
